Bruce Hammond, LCSW
Bruce Hammond works with clients of all ages. Her work emphasizes improving individual, family and social relationships at every developmental stage. While adapting to real life stressors, Bruce’s work centers around recovery from emotional pain caused by divorce, death and other losses relevant to people and their lives.
Ms. Hammond also works as a consultant to The Steward School, where she provides assessment, education and support to administrators, faculty, students and parents.
Education and Experience
Ms. Hammond is a licensed clinical social worker. After completing her education and training at Longwood and Virginia Commonwealth Universities, she worked for 10 years at Henrico Area Mental Health. There, she worked as a counselor on the outpatient and emergency service units.
Ms. Hammond then joined Westhampton Family Psychologists, where she has continued her work with all age groups from a developmental and real life perspective. In 2010 Ms. Hammond expanded her career, becoming Steward's psychological consultant.
