Caroline Agee, Ed.S., NCSP
Caroline Agee is a Licensed School Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. She offers counseling, assessment, and consultation services to support students in preschool, elementary school, middle school, high school, and college.
Caroline provides counseling for children and adolescents experiencing school challenges related to anxiety, self-esteem, perfectionism, stress management, executive functioning, social skills, peer relationships, impulsivity, self-advocacy, school transitions, college planning, and career planning.
Caroline conducts comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students experiencing academic difficulties. She has expertise in the assessment of learning disabilities, including dyslexia, and ADHD. The goal is to provide parents with a better understanding of their child’s pattern of strengths and weaknesses and to offer specific recommendations to support their child’s performance. Caroline also offers cognitive assessments that can be used for educational placement in private schools or gifted programs.
Caroline provides educational consultation for parents seeking guidance in obtaining academic support, including IEP’s or accommodations, for their children. She offers review of IEP’s and accommodation plans and collaborates with parents to determine what changes may be beneficial. She is available to attend school meetings in certain school districts.
Education and Experience
Caroline Agee earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Virginia. She earned her Master of Education and Educational Specialist degrees in School Psychology from the College of William and Mary.
Caroline served two years as a school psychologist for Richmond Public Schools and currently serves as a contract school psychologist for Henrico County Public Schools. She is an active member of intervention and child find teams and evaluates students for exceptional education eligibility. She has experience in the assessment of learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, intellectual disabilities, developmental delays, emotional disabilities, and traumatic brain injuries. Caroline previously provided cognitive evaluations for the admissions department at St. Christopher’s School. She continues to offer programs at local private schools, including St. Edward’s and Collegiate, on topics including organizational skills and stress management.
Caroline has a special interest in working with adolescent girls. She has gained expertise in working with girls through her involvement as a mentor with UVA’s Young Women Leaders Program, a Board member and coach for Girls on the Run, and providing group counseling for girls.
Caroline lives in Goochland with her husband and two dogs, Crosby and Layla. She joined Westhampton Family Psychologists in 2017.
