Paula Allocca, Ph.D.
Dr. Paula Allocca has a passion for integrative care and will work with you to identify a personalized treatment plan to help you reach your highest level of mental health. She has completed her coursework for certification in Functional Medicine and can utilize this training to develop treatment plans to build core health and improve mental health symptoms. She has been trained in the ReCODE protocol, developed by Dr. Dale Bredesen, for the reversal of cognitive decline at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging in Nuvato, CA.
Dr. Allocca is able to use a variety of clinical tools (assessment forms, labs, genetic testing and lifestyle modification factors) to help develop an integrative treatment plan for mental health care.
Education and Experience
Dr. Allocca is a psychiatric nurse practitioner. She received her PhD and Post-Master’s certificate from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Dr. Allocca is credentialed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is board certified as a Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is also certified as a trauma specialist by the International Trauma Training Institute. She has worked in mental health care for over 30 years and her areas of interest include medication management, cognitive therapy, integrative care and trauma informed care.
