Testing improves outcomes

Educators, clinicians and families want the same thing – a clear picture of the supports a student needs. Testing is one of the best ways to gain that clarity. WFP has long been a leader in this field, with a team of highly trained, experienced professionals using the latest testing tools.

We are proud to be one of the most highly-regarded resources in this area, and to work with other professionals for the best outcomes.

Referral Roadmap: The Intake Process (text version)

1 Initial Identification Once you recognize your patient’s struggles and determine psychological testing is necessary, you make the decision to refer the patient for testing to better understand their challenges.

2 Intake Request The patient completes + submits a referral inquiry form on WFP’s website, including detailed information about their concerns, and our office will receive the comprehensive background information necessary to start the scheduling process.

3 Patient Engagement + Scheduling Our designated referral coordinator provides detailed information about the testing process, billing, and scheduling availability. The patient is invited to a patient portal to complete registration paperwork.

4 Intake Appointment This interview-style appointment allows the patient or parents to provide developmental and social history, share concerns, and ask questions about the testing process before the actual testing begins.

5 Testing Administration + Interpretation Our testing providers conduct the psychological testing using evidence-based tools and techniques, providing data on the patient’s strengths, weaknesses, and any relevant diagnoses.

6 Feedback Session Patients or parents attend this session to discuss the testing results, including and diagnoses, identified strengths and weaknesses, and tailored recommendations for interventions and support at home, work, or school. About two weeks later, they receive a comprehensive written report detailing the entire testing process, results, and recommendations.

7 Implementation + Follow-Up Our provider will collaborate with your office to implement recommendations and monitor progress over time to ensure the patient benefits from actionable interventions, improving their overall outcomes.
