Lori Hedrick, PH.D.

Dr. Hedrick is licensed in both clinical and school psychology to provide comprehensive evaluations for children and adolescents for ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, phonological processing, behavior disorders, and mood disorders. She also evaluates adults for ADHD, autism, and cognitive functioning.

Based on assessment data, Dr. Hedrick provides recommendations for families and schools to boost student outcomes. Consultation for IEP and 504 plans is available as well as documentation for accommodations for standardized testing such as the SAT or GRE. Collaboration with medical providers ensures that medication decisions and ongoing monitoring of effectiveness are well managed.

In addition to assessment, Dr. Hedrick provides individual and family therapy to address communication, emotional regulation, and behavioral goals utilizing cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness strategies, and acceptance and commitment therapy approaches.

education & experience

Dr. Hedrick earned her B.S. in Psychology from Ursinus College in Pennsylvania, graduating magna cum laude as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She completed her M.A. and Ph.D. in School Psychology at the University of South Carolina with extensive experience in multiple school settings, a residential facility for children with significant disabilities, and a preschool center for children with severe behavioral and attachment disorders.
