Megan is a Resident in Counseling who provides individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and caregivers. She is passionate about creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, understood, and supported.
Working with children and adolescents, Megan integrates play-based and expressive approaches to help clients process experiences. She utilizes evidence-based approaches, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Trauma-Focused Integrated Play Therapy (TF-IPT), and attachment-based interventions. Her clinical approach is tailored to each individual client and family system, with an emphasis on building trust and using the therapeutic relationship as a space for exploration, growth, and healing.
Megan also draws from a psychoanalytic perspective when working with adults, with an interest in understanding how early experiences, relationships, and family dynamics can shape the ways we understand ourselves and relate to others throughout life. She believes in exploring these experiences to help clients make meaning of challenges and develop insight into emotions and patterns. Megan has a commitment to utilizing a multicultural lens in her clinical work, emphasizing the importance of identity, cultural background, values, and lived experiences of the clients families that she works with.
